There are several advantages of using Hurricane Labs as your Check Point support partner:
Focus. Check Point is the ONLY commercial vendor of Hurricane Labs.
This unique partnership allows us to focus on supporting Check Point implementations
better than any other company in the region. Currently, over 80% of all Check Point
customers in Northern Ohio use Hurricane Labs for Check Point support.
Monitoring and Management of Check Point. Hurricane Labs monitors
and manages Check Point networks for several of our clients. By monitoring and
managing Check Point networks on an outsource basis, Hurricane Labs works first
hand with many of the nuances of supporting a Check Point environment. Our
engineers are not sitting in a cubicle waiting for support calls then looking
up answers online. We are involved first hand with actively managing real
corporate networks. This experience puts Hurricane Labs in a far better position
to support a Check Point network than even Check Point.
On-site support. The Hurricane Labs Service Level Agreement states
that Hurricane Labs may provide on-site services to resolve a technical issue.
Check Point customers simply cannot purchase this level of support, even from
Check Point, and certainly not from any other Check Point partner in the
region - it is simply not available from anybody else.
Lab Environment. Hurricane Labs operates a local lab environment,
where we test the latest Check Point releases. Clients are encouraged and
welcomed to come to the labs and try out different techniques for managing
their own infrastructures.
Check Point Local Classroom Training. Hurricane Labs teaches
"Check Point Essentials" -a 3 day lab-oriented course that teaches the
students the essentials of setting up, configuring and trouble-shooting
a Check Point environment. We also teach "Smart Defense" and are actively
developing additional materials for our Check Point support clients. When
new clients switch to Hurricane Labs for technical support, Check Point
Essentials is included for free, for two students.
Local Check Point Partnership. At a local level, Hurricane Labs and
Check Point have a very good working relationship. The Check Point team is at
Hurricane Labs at least weekly, working on various Check Point related issues.
Primarily, this involves lab work, such as testing new software releases and
hot fixes in different types of environments.
Price Savings. While Hurricane Labs provides a much higher level of
service and support to our clients than other Check Point partners, or even
Check Point, we do so at a lower cost. Support costs are based on the standard
Check Point rates, less a 25% discount.
Certified Engineers. Hurricane Labs has 6 Check Point Engineers - more
than any other Check Point partner in Northern Ohio. In fact, no other Check Point
partner in Northern Ohio currently has ANY Check Point Certified Engineers.
Check Point Community. Hurricane Labs has been active in bringing together
the Northern Ohio Check Point community through conferences, seminars and
customer appreciation events. These events provide opportunities for Check
Point users to network and learn from each other.
