Hurricane Labs Hack Challenge

Back by popular demand, Hurricane Labs will hold its annual hacking contest. The event will be held at 6 PM, Wednesday, Feb 3, 2010 at its offices on 4401 Rockside Road, Suite 310. Registration begins at 5:30 PM.

This FREE event is open to both advanced and beginning hackers (programmers) testing their ability to quickly and efficiently breakdown a mock network. Hurricane’s “capture the flag" style-contest will have flags with different point values. A Linux shell server with some hacking tools will be provided. A limited number of Windows laptops given on a first-come first-serve basis though competitors are encouraged to bring their own hardware and software.

A live hacking demonstration will be given to those not participating in the contest but still curious to learn how it’s all done. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded along with various beverages and refreshments for this hacking and networking affair.

This event expects to fill quickly, so contest participants are required to pre-register.
