Hurricane Labs Classroom FrontWeb Application Security is a 1-day classroom course, primarily for web developers. Since many of today's attacks exploit poorly written code, it makes perfect sense to combine security and programming into a single course offering. Like all courses from Hurricane Labs, this course is primarily lab-oriented. Some of the labs include:

Attacking a well secured web server through it's not-so-secure web application
   Cross-Site Scripting Attacks
   SQL Injection Attacks
   Exploiting poorly written forms
Using vulnerability scanners to test your code
Using source-code audit tools that are freely available

A final lab brings all of the techniques taught together. The course is not a programming course, but a course that teaches security principles and techniques to programmers. Course tuition is $995 per student.

Check Point Essentials is a three-day Check Point course that teaches students the essentials of implementing and managing a Check Point network. The course is practical and primarily lab-based. If your goal of Check Point training is CCSA and CCSE certification, read the books. Hey, there are even ATC's around that will read the books to you. :-) By the end of our course, students will have built a Check Point VPN environment, and performed troubleshooting. This class is free of charge for Hurricane Labs' Check Point support customers, and $1,800 per student for everybody else.

Open Source I - Snort is a 1-day course that teaches students how to implement Intrusion Detection and Network Awareness using Snort, the world’s most popular open-source IDS tool. Implementation, tuning, customization and reporting are all covered. Course tuition is $995 per student.
